Sunday Blue LawsMatthew 12:1-12 Have you heard what David had done? Hungry for food when there was none; He entered church and ate holy bread, That was unlawful for him to be fed. This food was to be eaten by a priest, But temptation seized to say the least; For his hunger had made him weak, Anything to satisfy that he could seek. Did you read about priests in the law? That they are exempted from the flaw; But something greater than the church, That you would know from your search. If you want mercy rather than sacrifice, Do not blame the guiltless that entice; If you loose a sheep on the Sabbath day, Are you going to go find or just stay? So on the Sabbath is it lawful to work? Or is there a penalty that would lurk? But the ruler of that day gives no wrath, As the Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath.
