 Have You

The best and most beautiful things

in the world cannot be seen

or even touched.

They must be felt with the heart.

Helen Keller

SultryRose's Signatures

Have you heard the lonesome song
of the whippoorwill
 seen butterflies as they migrate
in the fall

Have you ever heard the wolf howl
at a new born moon
or seen the fireflies flicker
 through the trees

Have you ever watched a leaf twirl
down onto the ground
or just marveled at the silence
that you've met

Have you heard the babbling brook
roll on down the stream
 found enchantment just entirely
in a rose

Have you ever heard the music
of wind in the trees
or glimpsed a bobcat running
 in the wild

Have you ever watched a snowfall
blanketing the ground
or watched a lonely star fall
from the sky

Have you ever even realized
how lucky you are
to see or hear these miracles
in your life
