Godly Test

Deuteronomy 13:1-5

Seeing a prophet or dreamer of dreams,
Who then gives you a sign or a wonder;
And the sign or wonder to be as it seems,
Urges you to worship the god of thunder.

Pay no attention to the prophet or dreamer,
For the Lord your God gives you a test;
To see if you are tempted by a schemer,
And if you are worthy of being blest.

He wants to see just where is your love,
The devotion within your heart and soul;
If your love is focused on Him above,
And allowing Him to remain in control.

Keep in the ways of the Lord your God,
Fearing Him and abiding in His Word;
Praise His name as you honor and laud,
Being true to Him with all that is heard.

The prophet or dreamer be put to death,
As his words are merely for to deceive;
In causing you to inhale his evil breath,
Turn you away from the God you believe.
