When is the time right? When things happen in life that's wrong, And try, and try as you might, To walk away with hate in your heart, It will never, ever seem right! Because as time passes by, Bitterness seeps within, And you hold that anger in your heart, And with anger, you'll never win! But still you let it seethe and fester, Holding onto it so tight! Till it binds and chokes you, And enters your dreams at night! Slowly, so slowly it suffocates you; And holds on tight to your heart, Making that heart so struggle to let go, To let the very breath in you depart! When is the time right, do you know? How do you know what and when to do? I guess it's far easier to hang on to it, If so, I hope the loss is acceptable to you! For I had a loss once upon a moon ago, And though there is no reason I can see, I was hurt so deeply, and cruelly so, That's cut deep into the heart of me, We are what we are, this is true, But we all have choices in life! To walk the path of good and right, And to live a life in less hate and strife! But some hold hatred so deep, And let it fester and grown and excel, Not into the land of goodness; But more; into the bowels of hell! So when is the time right to let it go? How and what do you do to achieve; And let this anger and hatred go; So your heart will no longer grieve? For the anger and hatred of another, Causes such pain in my heart, That which causes a mother's anguishes, And a breaking of the heart! When is the time right to put things right? Who knows, it is always personal choice! He has to live with that! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
