 Faith

I've never been to New York City, but I hope to go someday,
I haven't seen the Eiffel Tower, or the Champs Elysees,
I haven't seen the Vatican, but I know it is in Rome
I guess that you could safely say I haven't been too far from home.

I've never been to the Taj Mahal, understand that there's quite a pool,
Haven't seen the Louvre Museum, guess the art would make you drool.
Haven't seen the Alps of Switzerland, or climbed their loft peaks,
Yet these things are all there, I know whereof I speak.

I have wished for miracles to rival Jesus' own,
And I have prayed for people that I have never known,
And I heard about a little girl, her heart was mended well,
By some doctors and some prayers to God,
 A miracle?? Do Tell!!!

I've prayed for the war to end, and the world to find true peace.
I've asked God to help my friend so that her suffering would cease.
These are the things I hope for, though I haven't seen them yet.
But I know that God is GOOD,  I'm sure I'll see them, want to bet??

Faith is the word we use for things that are hoped for, yet not seen.
New York, the Vatican, the Alps, and that great museum.
I know are there, just as I know that prayer will be answered
By God's will.
By Faith alone,
 And in His Mercy,
 His Promise He will fulfill.

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
