M's Poetry

Jealousy

Shooting with green
overcome by envy
can't you see that was my piece of the pie?
why you have to go there
and take what should be mine
I can't look at you anymore
all the things we said
it has been washed away
cuz jealousy is rampant
jealousy is the only lounge singer

jealousy, forget all your excuses
it's poured through the crevices
and I am feeling mundane
you can't stop the play
without seeing the final act
your demise is located
right on this crumpled map
just take all your emotions
and forge only one word
it's your Achilles heel
your jealousy....

I wish I could turn my cheek
pretend like the truth doesn't hurt
be relentless in my pursue
of being always secure in you
but it just takes one drop
to ruin all that was stable
don't think it's fair
well try turning the tables
looking back through my eyes
do you finally see
this hurt, this jealousy......
