Life is a roll of the dice,
either you roll sevens,
or go down with snake eyes,
With the turn of the cards,
a pair of aces and you win,
or fall to a full house of kings and queens,
You place your bet on red,
hoping to win favor on life's spinning roulette wheel,
but sometimes the tumbling marble stops on black,
and you lose,
You gamble it all,
hoping that you've placed it in the right slot machine,
you pull the slender handle and watch as the cherries pop up,
and all is well for a moment,
but you pull the arm once more and it spins up
lemons and oranges and you lose once again,
Your last quarter is taken,
your night lays in ruins,
and to play one last time you'll do anything,
but the dealer says no your time is up,
and you leave wondering what if I had it all to do again.
