Fruit of labor to

Orchids and irises
and roses in full
Bloom
Facing down tall grasses
Of yellows and greens...
Bands of seagulls
Lined up high up
towards
Sailing boats and
Ships
Making
Slowly their
Way
Beneath choppy
Waters of
Emerald sea…
In the distance
An old lighthouse
Still flickers
With "hope"
Under all the darkness
And chaos
Of the world
I can see…
Beneath the surface
Of money and
cold diamonds...
And all the
glitter
Of man's
Power... and
Greed…
