And she said;Sue went to buy some tickets, For the ‘sleeping beauty ballet' And what transpired next, Really wasn't ok! Cos the tickets were £5-00 each, An offer for the matinee show, And then she asked about wheelchair access, Cos I really wanted to go! ‘£45-00.' She said to Sue, Well Sue nearly hit the floor! And asked her what she was on about! And why were the tickets so much more! ‘So why is it so different now?' She said; ‘They're advertised as £5-00 for each ticket bought!' ‘That's because you need the chair,' she said; ‘For wheelchair access is sought!' Sue was totally disgusted, Because this is discrimination true! But the woman said it wasn‘t so! So tell me, I put it to you! She even said if I could walk in… And get to the theatre seat's without my chair, The charge would only be £5-00 each… So tell me, is that a bit fair? Now, if I could walk to the seats unaided, I sure the heck wouldn't need chair! And the fact of the matter is; She didn't even seem to care! Now because it's the year of the DDA Everyone's supposed to take a little care, And be as accessible as can be, To make things a little more fair. Because it's not at all fair to have; To struggle cos we are disabled, Just because things are easy for others, Of course, I mean the able! Now when the woman was told its discrimination, To add the prices for us; She got all flustered and worried, And gave us some tickets without a fuss! But my ticket wasn't for being disabled, It was an old age pensioner's ticket she gave! And at just 49, trust me true! I am sure the hell not ready for the grave!!! This should never have happened, And I really have to say; I have never been made to feel disabled, Just as I was this day! And it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth!
