Hit And Miss Talk
You talk with words that do not
dig beneath the surface, and miss the core.
I listen and I try to say the truth with
depth, no cover up!
You have the answer instantly,
but it always seems to be the same.
I hear you out in silent pain, and heave
my heart and breathe so sore!
You bandage talk and wrap it up,
as if the problem has been solved.
I smile and try to hold my tongue
because you will not understand.
You hold your head and walk away
and leave me feeling hollowed out!
Joy Weare.
