Death Of The Willow Tree

How my arms embraced the breeze
Like a mind clings to sweet memories
Happy and alive beneath the sun
I felt as if life had just begun

Cruel winter how you came to me
You stripped my world of everything
No joys, no life left to be found
Hang my head now towards the ground

Leave my world you've torn apart
Return to me soft beating heart
Take your darkness from my sun
Say this now can be undone

How lowly now I drape my bough
As my dying soul keeps crying out
Give back the time you stole from me
Bring not the death of willow tree
