She's a wild bird in a cage,
Ready to fly away,
She's been held too long,
Captured by love's embrace,
She now turn's love's page,
today,
Free at last to fly,
A tear comes to her eye,
She will face heartache's rage,
Without saying a word,
She'll fly away,
soaring high,
As old dreams die.
Watch her rise in the sky,
The wild soulful bird.
She now looks for a new rainbow to chase,
Her wings spread with a graceful age,
She softly whispers her heart's pain.
As she spreads her graceful wing,
To try to fly again once more,
Across a sea of heartache to a peaceful shore,
Tears still on her face.
She now turn's love's page,
One a wild bird was caught by love's embrace,
Now the bird is free from her cage.
