We are not just a world,
We reach out across the universe,
What have we to offer,
If we can't end hatred's curse?
If there are others like us,
God have pity on all.
He raised us from the dust,
To watch man fall.
I look at the stars and wonder,
Are there others out there?
Amidst wars storms and thunder,
I say a silent prayer,
God have pity on us,
And love us past our flaw,
God raised us from the dust,
To watch man fall.
Are we alone out there,
In the universe?
Somewhere past the starburst.
Did God try once more?
Did God see this before?
Breaking nature's law,
Tearing down the ozone's wall.
God have pity on us,
I know He cries for us all,
God raised us from the dust,
To watch man fall.
When we reach for the star?
Will it be for peace or for war?
What have we have to offer?
If we don't end hatred's curse,
What can we give,
To the universe?
In the name of religion,
Or for oil's lust,
We are defiling God's vision,
Of the plan for us,
God have pity on us all,
God raised us from the dust,
God raised us from the dust,
To watch man fall.
