I'd wish…If a fairy said I could have one wish… Well, Material things are nothing to me, But I know what I'd wish for… I'd wish for one day of being pain free. Oh to have a day like that, To wake up in no pain…! What a wonderful time I'd have, And what a lot I'd gain! I'd put my chair into hibernation! And forget that it was there! Oh to have a pain free day… Without a worry or care! I'd walk amongst the flowers, And sit under a big oak tree, And watch lazily as all the ducklings… Swim in the pond just by me! I'd run to the top of a hill! And roll right down it again! Oh to be free, for just one day, Of this awful, unmerciful pain! I'd walk to the shopping centre, And mooch around the stalls, And never have to worry… About whether I had falls! I'd love to go out dancing, On my feet, not in my chair! Oh to have a day free of pain, And not to even care!! I'd go to the pictures and watch a film, And queue up for ice-cream! And jump about in my seat, When they all get scared and scream! I'd go for a ride on an escalator, And slide down banister rails, And roll in laughter at my trials, And the commotion I would raise! I'd go to visit my friends… And go for a meal and a drink, With no worries about getting help! No need to fret or think! …Think of how I'd get out when there, For to get from A to B… Isn't a problem cos I drive my car, But I need help when I get to letter C! Because I have to have some help, To get me and my chair out of the car, Even if it's only a short way, For me, it's much too far! Oh to be pain free for a day! Wow what a day that would be! And that is what I'd wish for… A pain free wish for me!!! Oh what a day I'd have! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
