I can remember
The future...
I walked down the center
Finally
And I was released
From obscurity
The guest smiled
Encouragingly
I looked at you
Softly
I kissed you
Reassuringly
And we left that day
For a time together
No disruptions, no worries
And I vividly recall not being haunted
Not being tormented anymore
You held me
And we
We had a family
And the four of us
Faced life bravely
And lovingly
With memory
After memory
And I remember
Sitting at my desk
Writing
About my impatience
For your close love
