Photographs of Strangers

These are strangers from photographs

They stand there in those photographs
Coated and wrapped against the cold
Caught strolling down an October beach
None of my friends these are far too old
And yet I look at those photograph
See an almost nearly familiar face
Try peel back the ravage of years
Is it really him do I really see a trace
Did we really live those times
Those memories that I find
Growing more and more
To the front of my mind
No these can't be my friends
All wrapped against the cold
These just can't be my friends
These men are far too old

These  are strangers from photographs
