Sitting In Starbucks
Looking efficient,
With phone in right hand,
A neat looking lady
Spoke with total command!
A man with his cap
Pulled hard on his head,
In shorts and blue teeshirt,
Sat glistening quite red!
A flyaway pigtail,
In grey speckled black,
Swept into angle
Then swished it's way back!
Two girls sat in chatter,
Showing nice knees,
Sharing their gossip
With wonderful ease!
A man with a novel,
Large, heavy and thick,
Sat at his table
With his coffee so big!
A puffy pink lady,
With bag at her feet,
Sipped on her coffee,
So strong and so sweet!
A man with a canary,
Perched on his bare knee,
Sat reading, relaxing
And smiling so free!
A raw, round faced woman
Sat scribbling, like me.
Was it a letter,
Or some Starbuck poetry!
Joy Weare.
1st November, 2005.
