Authority from God

Romans 13:1-5

Let everyone submit to authority,
For there is no power not of God;
Declaring the ruler by a majority,
Who would approve of and applaud.

Whoever goes against government,
Would be going against the Lord;
And will be suffering a punishment,
In accordance with His Holy Word.

For rulers are not the causes of fear,
In doing good work rather of evil;
So cherish the liberty you hold dear,
Being successful in all you are able.

The ruler is a servant of the Lord,
Tasked with doing good for you;
But if you do evil fear the sword,
Along with force that will subdue.

Authority of God to whoever rules,
Evil-doers better fear the aftermath;
For doing anything like some fools,
Will feel the full fury of his wrath.
