BARELY THERE


You're never gonna feel
You're never gonna see
That my love was real
Not just a fantasy

Where you didn't have to play a part
All you had to do was be
Where you had my heart
Instead you took your loveless life with damn Marie

I hope you're happy somehow
That I am out of your life
I hope you can ascertain now
That you miss this pretend wife

Who waited on you lovingly
Who's love kept coming on
Who touched your body tenderly
Because of you, she's all but gone.
