ramblings and things

Excuses, excuses

Being born and bred in Yorkshire
Can cause a stressful time
When you're my type of poet
And you're looking for a rhyme
So many words
First have to be said
There in the confines
Of your head
For in the East Riding
An East Yorkshire bus
Rhymes so very happily
With a cat of the genus puss
And if you head south
The further away
They will pronounce a U
Like another letter A
So if you're reading my work
And for you the rhyme don't ring
Remember I'm from Yorkshire
It's purely an accent thing
