Champagne And Roses
Champagne and roses
Lay on a blanket in a field,
Their hearts flutter with love
Never to be concealed.
Chocolate covered strawberries
Inside a small basket,
A tasty dessert for later
It's always been their favorite.
He goes across the street
To pick some lilacs,
Who would have known
He would never come back?
His ghost fades
With the memory of her love,
A unique, special gift
Now rests with the Lord above.
