I Should Know Better
I heard you're back on your feet
I'm really glad to hear it
You're in the driver's seat
running people over again
and it's just so much fun
to you, ain't it?
you just can't live any other way
you are just that selfish
it's not power, you are immersed in deceit
What can you show me
that I haven't already seen before
you can't really know me
when one foot's in my door and the other is stomping my heart
what can you say now
that I haven't heard a million times before
what can you play now
that will have me in tears and screaming for more
Take your time
diseasing my mind
you claim your heart is alway in the right place
I say bullsh*t
I am choking as I look back on this
you say I remember a good time it was
you say I can save you
you say I make you happy
when lately it seems nothing ever does
I should know better than to fall again
but the heart seems to always get us in trouble
yea yea I am tough
but then the armor just crumbles.....
