hands and fist high in the air
pumping forcefully towards a tempting sky
to think that anyone could reach so high
as to touch it with very little effort

screaming at it loudly
but thunder roared louder
and we are quieted
by its humbling approach

to dare think that we are more powerful
than this wide open space
to dare think
that anyones name can truly be written there
and be noticed befores it fades

we attempt skywriting
at what cost?

the sky is no place for ego to live
clouds and limitations assure that

it is now time
for a journey
to space
