I'm in the shadows sucked in by the dark
Four whole days, pain has left its mark.
Sunken in cheeks dark eyes, white face
Cocktail of tablets one after the other race.
Moods swings dragged down to depths of lowest lower
Mind and brain mixed up cogs grinding slow stop slower.
Waiting for the light of a never-ending tunnel
Down, down, down like water through a funnel.
No sleep don't want to eat, wanting to wish it all away
No reprieve for shadow man, thunder clouds today
I'm in the shadows sucked in by the dark
As I sit here with my thoughts and a hurting heart.
