Staffroom Table Talk
The gush and the rush,
The words race around,
Looking for someone
To hear all the sound!
Everyone's trying to
Throw in their thoughts,
No one is listening,
Cos everyone talks.
I sit there in musing,
Outside, looking in,
Trying to focus
Above all this din!
Recalling, restating,
Opinions so strong,
Teachers at table,
All chatter along!
No one is listening,
As everyone talks,
Then, there goes the bell,
So everyone walks!
