WHEN A MAN

Live your life girl
You have quite awhile
Live in this spinning world
Never let a man take away your smile

Your life is what matters most
You have a granddaughter from God
Three healthy children to toast
Who cares if the man thinks you're odd

You've lived without a man here
Since July First Two Thousand Two
In three years and four months it's clear
Your best friend has been you

You'll fight to survive
You'll work to keep your space
You're still well and alive
Don't let the man win the race

When a man tells you no
Time and time again
Let God's will be free and go
Back to being your own best friend

Let him out of your soul
Work on keeping yourself sane
The wheels of time will roll
With that turning of the clock you'll gain

The peace of reason
The aching torture if you're wrong
Every three months a new season
To fill with my heartune song

So when a man tells you no
He can't live with you
You just let go
It's God's will and all true

Forget about it and go on
Let it slide off your back
Be happy he's gone
Unwilling to take up the slack

In the end it's you
Inside your survival
To yourself be true
Celebrate a woman's revival!
