A certain ship set sail for a distant land
Its captain and crew laid out a travel plan
The length of the journey explained to the crew
And every man was aware of what he had to do
With full confidence in them the captain was calm
He could sleep in his cabin in the middle of the storm
Much like the journey people set out on everyday
Setting a course for adult life and we are on our way
But now just like a ship with many years at sea
The outside may look the same, but it's not what it use to be
The instruments are not quit right, they don't read the same
And when the ship strays off course nature is to blame
But what of a man who has lost his way
And finds out that he has begun to stray
If his trusty compas is out of wack
How ever is he supossed to make it back
With life as vast as the deep blue sea
How can one determine where they are supposed to be
To continue forward or to turn around
Which will cause you to be lost or help you to be found
Imagine sendind out an s.o.s call
And finding out you weren't lost at all
But that the course you set out to see through
Was not the course that was meant for you
