You look at me and say
" I wish I had her life "
If you want it that bad
Take it, it's no longer mine
You just don't know
What you're getting yourself into
You think my life is perfect
That's not at all true
Yea I may look excited
But there is a lot you don't see
I try my best to hide it
There's so much you don't know about me
When there's this much pain
There is a lot you're afraid to show
So you try your best to hide it
So no one will ever know
I wish for no one to experience it
To have to hold on to that pain
To always question why
To know what it feels like to be afraid
You see me smiling and happy
But I am always aware
I'm glancing over my shoulder
To make sure no one is there
I've been through so much pain
I've learned not to trust
My own family hurt me
Which made me question love
I've been in love once
But my love was betrayed
So I locked up my heart
And threw the key away
I keep one true friend
And siblings close to me
They are the only ones I trust
To keep me truly happy
Behind my laughter
This beautiful smile on my face
There is so much you don't see
A life full of pain
Don't judge a book by it's cover
Watch what you say and do
You want my life, take it
You don't know what you're getting yourself into
