Don't Wanna Miss You
We change lanes
our ways never tame
maybe we never were just friends
and the days go by
and you wonder why
why tears rain from the sky
so I don't wanna miss you
as I lie awake in someone else's arms
but I do....try as I might
to erase what you meant
it's all too much in my face
haunting my daydreams....haunting this bed
inside of these four walls
cobwebs and dust covers
I move forward but we....we are never over
This time my ceiling crashes
and the tears I willed to be gone
have come to town again
different bow, same wrapping paper
and I need not to open
cuz I already know it holds my floodgates
so I don't wanna miss you
as I lie awake in someone else's arms
but I do....try as I might
to erase what you meant
it's all too much in my face
haunting my daydreams....haunting this bed
inside of these four walls
cobwebs and dust covers
I move forward but we....we are never over
Maybe I'll chase the love this time
maybe I'll get it right this time
I am standing in your doorway
drenched in rain, hoping you would be mine
once again....
