ISOLATION (UNFINISHED SAGA)
Ensnared in a cage
of frustrated existence
bars closing in around the mind,
the heart beats wildly;
a trapped animal
seeking a way out.
A solitary life of
emotional confinement
embitters the soul within,
becoming feral and untamed;
the spirit hardens to
brittle black shale.
Instinct overcomes reason,
then survival is paramount.
Without shared experience,
humanity gets lost
in an urban jungle
of senseless isolation.
