POOP SHOOT BLUES

Several of my friends
have recently been through
the rigors of the dreaded
colonoscopy~~~~~~
And so I wrote a poem for them~~~~
Poop Shoot Blues
I've done my time; I've paid my dues,
I've really got the Poop Shoot Blues.
I took the pills, long overdue
And made a mess before I was through
The doctor said, t'was his desire
That they would set my soul on fire
So they poured in the iodine
Don't want this for, any friend of mine.
They poked and prodded, my private parts,
Then grabbed a camera, created a work of art.
My colon now I can plainly see,
They are showing it on National TV.
They said they found a stalk or three
That needed to be removed, O Woe is me.
Go back again, let them do the same.
My colon now is in that hall of fame.
They carved my name for all to see
Above my colon, for posterity,
I've done my time; I've paid my dues,
I've really got The Poop Shoot Blues.
