Cop For That!We couldn't get over the shock you know! When a man came over to our table, As we sat and chatted and had a laugh; But then we laughed more till we were unstable! Cos he looked at me, took a step back! I thought that he must know me or Sue, But he didn't, and I have to say, We didn't know what to ruddy well do!!! Cos I think he was trying to cop off!!!! And oh glory, oh glory be! We each of us had no idea what to do! We're not used to this behaviour you see!!! He took a step back and extended his arm, Then looking at his two friends stood there! Said; ‘Wow, but look at these two beautiful women!' As we sat, rocking in laugher on our chair!!! And when he took my hand in his, Well I nearly died of fright right then! And then when he kissed me on my hand, I nearly died of fright once again! He really made such a fuss you know! And I tell you, and I tell it true! We couldn't stop giggling like utter fools, Cos we just didn't know what to do!!! And though he tried and tried… To get us to go to the bar, He had no chance, no chance at all! Cos the bar was much too far!!! And as I'm a little bit knackered! I knew it was impossible to do! But no way at all was anyone going to know! And there was no way they had a clue! Cos little old me, was sitting in a pub… But it was easy to go in without my chair, Cos I was able to walk the few steps from the car! And as I sit, I look like everyone else there! Now I wonder what would have happened, If I had been in my wheelchair! I bet my life they would have passed me by! But you know what, I really don't care! Cos looks are purely superficial, They don't make the person who they are! And just like you, I am me! It's just that I can't walk too far! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
