Preaching Amongst the Wolves

Matthew 10:17-22

We are like sheep amongst the beasts,
Be wise as snakes but gentle as doves;
We are the main course in their feasts,
Since it is evil that each of them loves.

You will appear before rulers and kings,
Witnessing Christ through your belief;
Do not be troubled by what it brings,
Your defense will be given for relief.

Please do not speak for your own sake,
The Holy Spirit will speak through you;
For God knows exactly what is at stake,
To give them a different point of view.

Brother will be at odds against brother,
Fighting of each other until the death;
Just as child against father and mother,
Keep fighting until the very last breath.

You will be hated because of His name,
But be strong for salvation is at hand;
So go amongst the wolves to proclaim,
On how to reach the Promised Land.
