WOMANCHILDI was a flower A child of the universe With nature's power Now I am cursed By him who cusses Who wants a grown-up female When I want a father who fusses Over me when I am not well He's too old for you He forgot how to play His words won't woo They'll just send you away Or he'll run away alone For 20 minutes or so Then he'll be at home Not alone again to know The pain this girl will set free Tears that roll on to my heart No matter how much girl in me He wants to kill the womanchild part The part that's wild That gives up laughter The part that's mild That he's not after The broken heart that's kind That lets him live with a female roommate The brown eyes that try to be blind Because he only wants me for a date He tells me to grow up Or find somebody new When inside like a pup So excited to see you I pant and wiggle around When I think you might love me Then you, my owner, puts me down Because my emotions I set free A womanchild I'll be until I die You'll have to take me as it's my core I'm going to smile, frown, laugh and cry Until I find a fatherman to help me grow up more. 7/17/2005 1041 cj Vote for this poem
