 HARD COPIES
Creating non sentences in writing
As usual, it's late and I am somnolent
Spending time alone because we're fighting
Strong enough to take your every hint

To your mainframe I am connected
Wireless, digital images of you in my computer memory
Scanned a thousand times, virus protected
Backed up with the hard copies of you and me

Hard copies made with paper and pen
Where a Pilot V5 can be flying
Mistakes are made, then correction starts in
To ecstasy then agony and back laughing then crying

When the electricity goes black
An oil lamp will be there to illuminate
I'll have my hard copies to back
Every electronic verse that I create

The mainframe connected to me
Could crash without electricity
Lose that heartune poetry
Without hard copies duplicity

Your hard copies are deep inside
Boots up in my memory banks
Stored safely forever in my hard drive
Disconnect your mainframe and it still thinks

Logically, without human emotion
Electrically to the path of least resistance
Opposite of this Pisces feeling ocean
Where I swim in hard copy when you have your distance.
