I wrote this poem a couple of years ago while critically ill in hospital.
However, I amended it slightly to fit in with the sig above it. I hope you experience the 'Feel Good' factor.
"I am the door: by me
if any man enter in,
he shall be saved,
and shall go in and out,
and find pasture."
I don't know if you know, what it's like to fear death?
When you're feeling quite bad and you can't get your breath;
When your chest is aching and your head's in a spin,
And you're feeling so low, you want to pack it all in?
I don't know if you know, the chill or the fright,
When panic attacks hit you late in the night?
Or what it is like to be frightfully ill?
I can tell you folks, it is far from a thrill!
I don't know if you know, it has been a bad day,
And the fear that I have, just wont go away?
In life I have wanted to make my mark;
But I haven't always been, the brightest of sparks!
I don't know if you know, what lies ahead,
When the curtain comes down and your finally dead?
There's one thing that's certain and we need to make sure,
We've got hold of the answer, that 'feel good' cure!
