There's this shadow behind me
It follows me everywhere I go
It means so much to me
It gives me strength to grow
When I am feeling down
When my day is at it's worst
My shadow is always there
It always puts me first
I used to find it annoying
When it followed me around all the time
As I got older we grew closer
It always knew how to make things right
When I fell weak
When I started giving up on life
It was always there
It wiped my tears when I would cry
I don't know what I would do
It means so much to me
It's someone very special
Who always makes me happy
The one true person
Who has always kept me strong
In my toughest moments
It has helped me move on
To my amazing sister
To my other half
Who picks me up when I am down
Who always makes me laugh
Thank you for being there
Through the toughest moments in my life
Thank you for keeping me strong
For always being by my side
