It's Tearing

It's tearing me apart
Knowing I'm not the one loving you
I tried my best from the very start
But it wasn't my doing; it was all you

You never loved me as much as I could say
That I loved you back even to this very day
It was a one way street we were on
Never knowing I had the impression wrong
You let me desire a mere specter of love
And then out of my life like a quick knife shove
Tearing through vital emotions and feelings
Subjecting me to pain worse than any beatings
Time seemed to stand still as my torture grew
Everything I would try still nothing I could do

It's tearing me apart
Knowing I'm not the one loving you
I tried my best from the very start
But it wasn't my doing; it was all you
