Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Dude, my mom made me go to the hospital this one time…

I see myself outside the box
Being surgically inserted in to it,
Cut by a scalpel, scarring tissue
That wasn't to be cut, and running
From their half-@ssed injections.
They can't get me now, not with their
False words, not with their medicine.

1. FALSE WORDS

Gems, they throw them like rocks
But call it medical experience,
Their gems to a bigger paycheck.
I'm sifting through the bullsh!t, and
My dark black hair, to see if
Any of their diagnosis is even half
Accurate. What is wrong with me
Cannot be detected by blood pressure.
What is wrong with me is not
Something a doctor can diagnose.
They haven't invented a cure for it yet.

2. MEDICINE

Pills upon pills have I received,
The prescriptions just keep piling up
Like so much mold on so much bread.
They want me to admit my ailments
As I sit on stiff hospital beds,
Knowing that a shot of cortisone, or
Penicillin is useless. Even the antidepressants
I so desperately clung to were nothing
More than an enabler to my even worse
Blanket of nightmares. I sit in the hospital,
They tell me I'll be fine, but I think I've just been lied to.

3. DIAGNOSIS

Give THEM the placebo; give THEM the
Word, the medicine term of what is slowly
Killing you so they profit from your
Sufferings. Tell them all that ever bothered
You so they can move on to the next
Patient. They'll give you the pill, tell you
The problem and pretend that it
Bothers nobody. You tell them the lie,
They give you the “cure.” You tell them
The truth and the psych ward you'll
Soon visit. Apparently insanity can't be cured.

4. EXPERTISE

I think we all know the color of crazy
So please just shove me to the side and
Deal with the kid who needs a CAT scan.
His trauma matters more than my strong
Desire to chop my arms up with razors.

Tomorrow, we'll all pretend it never happened.
