A Living God

Mark 12:24-27

Is it not the reason that you are wrong?
That you know neither the Holy Word;
Nor of the full power of God all along,
Because you thought that it was absurd.

For when you are risen from the dead,
You are no longer married from the start;
You may remember just what was said,
Your promise was till death do you part.

You will be more like angels in Heaven,
A union in Christ rather than a spouse;
And from your Father it will be given,
A room of your own within His house.

As for the dead that are being raised,
You did not read the book Moses wrote;
About the thorn tree infernally blazed,
While standing before God as He spoke.

Our God is the God of Isaac and Jacob,
As well as the God who is forgiving;
He is also the God of all the cherub,
Not the God of the dead but the living.
