Talk To Me…Walk With Me…For Dan! Talk to me, walk with me, and open your heart! Tell them how you feel, and make that new start! Don't bottle it up Dan, let it out! Stomp your feet, scream it out! But use your voice and make it heard! Be honest for once, and admit to them you're scared! You are not a machine, you are human through! And yes, Dan, I know its hell you're going through! It's ok to be scared, and ok to cry! And it's even ok to be afraid to die! But everything that happens to us in life, Is all for a reason, the pain and the strife! The heartache and pain, the unjust of life, The hurtful things that cut like a knife! Nothing worth having is easy, that's true! Take the bull by the horns, do what you have to do! We can't carry the burdens of others you know! So lose your mask, let the real you on show! Tell them how it is, how you feel! Be honest with them, don't make it surreal! Open your heart Dan, and let it out! And you will feel better, there is no doubt! Put it in a box now, set it to the side, And sort out your head, let the fear subside! Do what I do Dan, talk to your head! And tell yourself daily…that you are not dead! Open your eyes every morning and look to the sky, Tell yourself this Dan; this day you didn't die! Oh I know it's not easy, but been there done that! Had 2 tumours, but they didn't knock me flat! Because I took off my mask, became me true! Because you are like me, and I am like you! Tell them this day that you are in a mess, Because if you wear that mask, they won't guess! Guess that you are floundering in the dark of night! Because you've a tumour and you are in fright! So listen to me Dan, tell me this true! What is it in truth that you want to do? Live in a body and hide that lie… Or remove the mask, and dry that eye! Face it head on, don't bust a gut! Just talk to me, or someone, get out of that rut! And once you can do that, you will feel great! We were meant to meet and chat, it sure was fate! I don't profess to be brave, I'm just like you! I am just me, and you're like me too! So lose that mask Dan, throw it away! Face the storm, and do it today! Tell them what you told me Dan! Do it to your best! Cos it's just another test, just another test! Speak your mind, lose the guilt and fear! Open your heart, make your feelings clear! We can't make things better for others; that's true! They have to do it themselves; it's not up to you! So do it Dan, just do it, do it today! Let it all out, and throw it all away! You can't kid me Dan, I know how you feel! Scared and terrified cos it's so surreal! So don't waste your bull on this poet here! Because I for one, sure know your fear! You can't bottle it up the way you are! For that will hurt you and you wont get far! One day at a time, that's all we can do! And if I can do it Dan, you can do it too! So Do It! Because nothing worth having comes easy!
