To Know Christ

John 8:12-20

Christ is the light of the earth,
Follow Him and walk not in dark;
You have the light of a rebirth,
To guide you in all you embark.

If I give witness of Him it is true,
In knowing of whence He came;
As well as where He has gone to,
And is the reason why I proclaim.

Christ did not judge anyone at all,
While we are judging what we see;
Even if He judged He knew the law,
And was up to the Father to decree.

Christ gave witness of Himself alone,
As the Father gave it in the Gospel;
So others make room for His throne,
Spreading Good News to the people.

Having no knowledge of the Father,
Also means of not knowing Christ;
Do not consider Him your Brother,
Or salvation after being sacrificed.
