No Longer 'It'! But More; Dave The Strong!

I have read of his life quite a few times,
And each time I am brought to tears,
As I tread a path of hell with him,
His suffering, pain and tears.
Dave's story is not of self pity,
But more to tell it true!
To all the abused in the world today,
If he could do it, so can you!
I have visions in my mind,
A pain so great in my heart,
For the boy whose name was ‘It'-
Whose strength is set apart!

For the fight within him so true,
Is all that kept him alive,
And the insight of the mind so young,
Gave him the will to survive!
It never fails to amaze me,
That this life for some is a living hell!
And for every abused child we hear of,
And each tale of abuse they tell…

…Sends shivers down my spine,
As I look into the heart so true,
And it makes me realise how strong he is,
And if he can survive abuse, so can you!
His plight is one of the worst 3 on record,
His life was a nightmare of hell!
And to be made safe for once in his life,
His sorry tale he had to tell.

It took the courage of an amazing boy!
For us to see abuse from the windows of his eyes!
And look deep into his heart so pained,
I can imagine the tears and the cries!
And the life he lived was no life at all!
But more, an existence of pure hate!
From a mother who was so very cruel,
Who was found out to be so way too late!

For had it come to pass sooner than it did,
The child wouldn't have suffered so much!
But it came to pass he had Angle's in his midst,
Who one by one, became his crutch!
And now as the child who is the man,
Named Dave, who has grown in strength!
And tells of his life of hell on earth,
And the suffering he did at length!

For it takes a brave one to do all that!
And to open his Pandora's box wide!
To be himself and tell it true,
For there's no more need to run and hide!
And for those of you who doubt his life,
Then this I will say to you!
Had you walk in this lad's shoes,
Then you would have gone through hell too!

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean…
That it never did occur!
You need to open your eyes, and listen!
And then you will begin to care!
Care about the children of abuse!
And listen with your heart,
Intervene, and save a child,
And give that child a brand new start!

Because believe it or not, it's true!
That child lived a miserable life of hell!
So read and absorb his life, take stock!
And hear what it is Dave does tell!
For he tells it as it is…from his heart,
Yes, he opened his cupboard wide!
For others abused to gain from his strength!
So no more will they have to run and hide!

This story so sad and heartbreaking true,
Moved me to tears over and again!
To know he lived such a life of hell,
In an abundance of fear and pain!
But now the child that was;!
Is now a man of much wealth!
For the wealth he has, is the strength he has!
The boy-child, the man Dave; is ‘It' no more!!

Abuse!!!!

It has a lot to answer for!!!
