White Funeral
You lay so still
in your shiny box,
so cold and quiet
all sealed and locked!
The people weep
at your wasted crime,
you had much to give,
but there's now no time!
Your friends in white
wave their last goodbyes,
as your mother trembles
and softly cries!
The mourners hug
and hold their hearts,
then clap their hands
so crisp and smart!
You leave today
in a flourish of white
in a state of style
and a dazzle of light!
Joy Weare.
7th December, 2005.
Today Nguyen Tuong Van's funeral was
held in Melbourne, Australia.
Our hearts go out to his mother
and brother.
May he rest in peace!
