When I embarked on my spiritual journey,
Just a decade and a half ago,
I made a startling discovery.
I learned that no one goes through life alone.
Lovely messengers of God
Stand at the ready,
Patiently awaiting their invitation
To help guide us through this physical world.
So, they wait for the heart to open
And request assistance,
Unable to interfere with free will.
My friends had skeptical smirks on their faces
Until they witnessed the miracles
Performed by these divine creatures.
Now my phone rings with requests
To "call in the angels" for help.
My connection is no stronger than yours.
My faith in them, however, may be.
My friendship with them has been
Lovingly nurtured over the years.
Such a shame to squander this gift from God.
I dont know about you,
But I need all the help I can muster,
Maneuvering awkwardly through this physical world.
