ramblings and things

Life’s like that again

I once had a dragon
Who came to live near me
We'd meet every day
For afternoon cream tea
He'd blow little rings of smoke
Which lazily curled in the air
Shimmering and expanding
Then suddenly weren't there
I called my dragon Claude
I told my girl friend Claire
Who just laughed and said
There's really nothing there
So an angry  Claude
With one big breath
And little puff
Burned her to death
I had to send
Poor Claude away
Dragons never really
Do learn to play
Sadly Claire's  dear dad
Didn't think I could be trusted
When I said she'd just
Spontaneously combusted

When I said she'd just
Spontaneously combusted
