Frustrations Of A Writer
Words seem to linger
Bounce off the pages in my mind,
Like a rubber ball
Wanting to escape, but confined.
The thoughts and emotions
That want to be expressed,
Trying to put them to paper
In a cardboard box, feeling compressed.
The frustrations of a writer
I can't seem to express what I feel,
Emotions are drained
But the words have to be reveiled.
All these words of mine
Trip me, make me fall,
Confined in a locked cage
Never to be heard from, at all.
These gentle tears
Fall down this sad face,
Trying so hard to reach
For words, that can't be embraced.
So now, shall I take
My pen and write,
Or put it all away
For another frustrating night?

I'm so angry right now. I can't seem to grasp at the words that want to be put to paper.
