The Design of the HeartThe design of the heart of man, And the tongue is from the Lord; A way for fitting into His plan, To clean himself with the Word. But the Lord God puts his spirit, On the scales to weigh its worth; Determine what he may inherit, By his achievements since birth. So put your deeds into His hands, And your intent will be for sure; As your purpose that He commands, Even with any sinner to restore. Everyone that is filled with pride, Is too disgusting to get away free; So whatever being hid deep inside, Expect punishment from His decree. From His mercy, sin is taken away, When his deeds have been pleasing; As long as his faith does not betray, A love of God that is never ceasing.
