 "her path to integrity"

"tale of Golden Dragon"

as i ran in the rain,
the night moon
seized suddenly my shadow
and asked,
to where does she run
and why does she run?

the shadow whispered,
she runs to
the Golden Dragon
that lives in the
darkest wood in the
most distant of lands;
at the entrance to
his wood stands
a slender deep white
magnolia which is
a symbol of one
from long ago.

she runs for if she walks
she will arrive without me
and i know the way
for i am the very same
shadow that surrounded
that girl from long ago
that yearns to shade
that Dragon as he tells
this girl about he
and that girl from long ago.

the moon then released the
shadow and by twelve o'clock
of the moon, that girl,
shadow and slender deep
white magnolia were
encircled before
the Golden Dragon as
he began the tale of
the snow covered
magnolia bloosom and
the winterless winter.
