Dreamed In Color

Court  Is Adjourned

I'm lost and confused
I can't find my way
I'm battered, bruised
And blinded by dismay

I'm lying in a pool of blood
Not sure if it's my own
The tears flow like a river in flood
To mourn my broken bones

My misery nurses my shattered dreams
The pain eases my lonesome heart
I indulge myself in a thousand screams
As my soul is torn apart

I lie through countless nights of torture
And countless days of sorrow
As I lie awake in the dark
Waiting for the morrow

Awaiting the final journey
The day when I won't return
The day I meet deaths attorney
And my court is adjourned

My death in non-existence
My eternity in hell
I will travel the final distance
And escape my life's cruel cell.
